i left a big-tech career to build small software businesses alone, from medellín.
the story
how i got here
i spent six years building infrastructure at discord, airbnb, and workday — streaming and ml systems at petabyte scale. good money, real problems, none of it mine.
in 2024 i left and started building consumer software alone. by may 2025 it looked like a mistake: i'd lost most of my net worth, a relationship had ended, and the product i'd bet on was making about fifty dollars a month.
in october 2025 i was preparing for the worst, doubting everything, and still losing money every month. february 2026 was the first profitable month — $2,000. now the portfolio does $50k a month at 70% margins.
this site is where i document the next part — $100k mrr, with the actual dashboards on screen — and where i show the system that makes the work possible: an hour of meditation before the phone, lifting, running until it clears, a sauna, and bachata in spanish i taught myself.
how i work
four rules
i work in the afternoon
the morning is the system — journal, meditate, lift, run, sauna. business starts when that's done. not negotiable, not a productivity hack.
i show the dashboards
most people teaching a one-person business don't run one. i'd rather put stripe on screen and let the number argue for me.
i don't hire
contractors for specific jobs, yes. a team, no. the whole point is a business that fits inside one life.
i document, i don't perform
milestones in real time, in numbers, including the ones that don't feel like anything when they land.
follow me to figure it out.
